Since Shadow is def. coming back, it'd be great if they could get Rouge and Omega too. Since the theme of these movies is "found family", it would make sense that Shadow chills out with them

I have to wonder how they'll explain the Metal army since Eggman is "dead" (tentative) or maybe Stone is going on his villain arc

I feel like Movie Shadow and Sonic have more reasons to get along, team up and hang out since they had a shared trauma bounding session

I really like Movie Maria too. I enjoyed how they kinda made her a mischievous Manic Pixie Dream Girl, but kept that purity and innocence that grounds Shadow

Shows that the Robotnik family are all kind of crazy, but Maria was 'good crazy'

Speaking of which... Only time we'll ever see Eggman and Gerald together on screen as a "family" (unless there's some wacky Sonic stories that I have missed out on)

They did a good job keeping Gerald PG friendly while still retaining that nihilistic insanity

I loved 70's Kid Maria, and getting to see Gerald in full revenge insanity mode (which we only see posthumously in SA2, and then every game appearance since has been about what a genuinely good guy he was before he lost everything he loved)

when that first close up shot of the rollerskates in Maria's color scheme happened I was like 
majinken
and thus, the Year of Shadow comes to a close

They did a great job making Maria's death feel very heavy for the story too

One big worry for adapting Shadow to the movies was how they'd handle it... And the weight of it wasn't understated or toned dowb
