on my quest to attempt the Four Arts, first try at brush painting

i should get liquid ink for this, it uses way more ink than calligraphy and im not gonna grind all that, as much fun as an ink stone is

i'm so bad at understanding how shapes in nature work? always have been. as a child i had to be told to stop drawing trees as big brown rectangles bc it did not occur to me that branches exist

very funny of me to get into all these hobbies that require skills i do not have at all, like fine motor skills or musical sensibilities or anything

love letting myself be bad at stuff and enjoying it anyway and delighting in every bit of small progress i make
