Sometimes i forget just how nice it is to watch someone do something they love, something that moves them or just genuinely makes them happy

i feel like it's easy to funnel yourself into a rabbit hole of stressful topics like politics and stuff but remember to make space for things that bring you peace and/or joy. Kind of feels hacky to say it but I'm old enough to be corny, damn it.

it doesn't feel like an empty platitude to me to say that I think it means a lot to leave room for positives, wherever you can claw them out.

I bring this up because a guy i started following on youtube a while back has since been able to make talking about stuff he's passionate about (animals) his full-time, and the dude's done his work, been honest and corrected himself when he's gotten stuff wrong, and has promoted positive changes. and he seems to be flourishing

It's Casual Geographic, by the way. Lindsay Nikole's in a similar lane if your preferred format is a lady shouting sharply but excitedly about animals accompanied by a slide projector (I'm probably making it sound bad but she's great, done a lot of stuff about dinosaurs)

ZeFrank is another one that's hilarious but informative. He's a lot more cheeky about it, though. I've always been reluctant to go down an "Animal video" rabbit hole and I've still got my hands on the brakes. I just don't want my recc list flooded with cute cat videos

I have plenty of cute cats, i don't know i can trust video compilations.
