kesha dropped a banger of a new single this week also. it is very good, feels very Kesha

I love when Kesha takes a song which is very genre-coded but actually it's a vicious hate anthem about someone who clearly sucks

one of her best modes, imo

"actually you suck and I'm Kesha, soooooo...." is a very fun vibe always

also if there is ANYBODY who is Absolutely Allowed to bitch about the pop music industry, it's her

her single from earlier this summer came out at the same time as katy perry's critically panned dr. luke-produced album and it did way better so lol

I think she understands the tiktok generation a little more than others as far as how to make "clippable" songs that appeal to The Children Today

because she comes from a songwriter background (her mom wrote country music including for dolly parton!!!) so she knows how to structure pop in a way a lot of performers don't think about i think

i think she always understood that in a way, uh, Perry does not

also because Kesha very much was in the party girl pop scene and katy was a weird fundie
