It's not just Chinese students visiting Taiwan, but everywhere. You are forbidden from traveling out of China unless your social credit score is high enough and you are connected to the CCP. You cannot have a sufficient social credit score unless you are CCP or a member of its affiliate organizations and agree to operate covertly on behalf of the regime.
