I saw a theory once about the end of s1 about how the light glinted off the gold on Mel's back/shoulders possibly foreshadowing that she would have some kind of defensive powers that would save them from the blast and I hope that person feels like a genius right now
in fairness it ended up largely cohesively focusing on a story beat that involved Almost Everyone Important but also where is my son. my beautiful son. when he finally gets back to me his time powers better look sick as shit
I think it's interesting that they're reusing a style from s1 that I had associated primarily with Ekko (the hiphop+graffiti/stark blacks and grays and bright colors) but they've been largely using it for Jinx so it's starting to feel more like it's a stylization for Zaun in general
when they did it in part 1 I thought maybe it was foreshadowing for more Jinx and Ekko development later but now it seems like it's just Zaun babies style
saw more Cait discourse and it's wild to me how ppl talking about how Cait just turned around because she loves Vi and/or Cait was wary of Ambessa all along all seem to be missing the part where the entire reason Cait was on this whole bender is because her mom got killed and Vi opened with "I'm trying to save my dad"
