[politics] [fandom] well, one of the most immediately irritating things for me right now is that I had to unfollow two Interview With the Vampire blogs I enjoyed because of their shit political takes

the first one was the first thing I saw when I got on tumblr this morning, sneering at people reblogging suicide hotlines because Americans "don't deserve that"

and the other one was just now because apparently all this was according to the Democrats' plans and the Democratic party "thrives off pain and suffering"

what the absolute fuck

and I like this fandom, but if backing off from it saves my mental health, I will do it in a second

and my feelings about the far left have been going negative since, well, since 10/7. I think this truly is the final nail in the coffin. I'm not going to say all leftists are horrible, because they're not, but I'm going to be way more cautious around them.
