Kunozan Toshogu Shrine in Shimizu, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, culminates in the Shinbyo Tower, mausoleum of the first Edo shogun Ieyasu Tokugawa (1543-1616). It faces west toward the ancient capital Kyoto.
