Watching Agatha All Along, so... Recent episode reactions?

GAY SHEEP
One, I'm glad they made an important part of having the bar mitzvah shown, as William was 13 when things happened. Nice touch, and I saw them sneaking the others in at good points

GAY SHEEP
So while Agatha hijacked and took a role, she wasn't controlling anyone. That was all Wanda. Randall did the worst stuff, like with the dog, which meant she just took credit and let people believe the worst

GAY SHEEP
I'm gonna guess (because that's the point I'm pausing at) that she's always let people believe the worst because she was broken from trying to defend herself long long ago

GAY SHEEP
Also, I see you, designers, with your Wizard of Oz decor in William's room

GAY SHEEP
The music queues are also top notch, I gotta say

GAY SHEEP
I don't think Agatha's directly causing disasters, but from the glimpses of what Billy was looking through, she's definitely fated to be involved with them? Maybe that's tied with the thing said with Rio about showing up and leaving Rio the bodies?

GAY SHEEP
But I also have the theory that her powers were never given the chance to learn control, because of its nature (and we saw how the coven viewed her) and that the darkhold was the thing that gave her a chance at that. Maybe that's what got her son, and why she went down the witch's road, but instead of getting her son back, she got what she was missing-

GAY SHEEP
which was control

GAY SHEEP
like, the road doesn't give you simply what you want and what you think you're missing. it's like a monkey's paw on what you're truly missing

GAY SHEEP
Man, seeing this from his perspective... the poor townsfolk that had to put up with this, knowing she was stuck in the spell

GAY SHEEP
Feels so weird that Rio didn't show up with all that time passing to go 'y'all gonna hurry up or let the salem castoffs catch up?'

GAY SHEEP
If we go off of the book interpretations of the Wizard of Oz characters, instead of the movie, then Agatha's the one that's always been caught around horrible things happening, has it happen to them, and has lost control with powers to have other tragedies, and all of it gets blamed into them being the villain.

GAY SHEEP
like, Elphaba didn't imprison or train flying monkeys, they allied and joined her for whatever she wanted or needed because she was very pro-Animal rights and defended them... In the book. A lot of it was trying to find and get a cure for Animals becoming like animals

GAY SHEEP
Also, Down the Witch's Road has no reason to live in my head the way it does. But I hear it's bespelled many people

GAY SHEEP
I can say more of things, and go with 'yes, that was more elphaba than wwotw, but that's still both with different perspectives'

GAY SHEEP
things not mentioned about death; it's about change and transformation, not just literal, and I'm positive that that's going to be a future 'twist' on people supposedly dying

GAY SHEEP
"If you want straight answers, you should ask a straight witch" sent me

GAY SHEEP
now that I've slept, I can chatter a bit more. I think Billy has been acting different, but also that he was acting sweet before the reality of the road and Agatha hit him. idk he's just extra hostile

GAY SHEEP
the 'prove it' when Agatha said the wicked witch/elphaba was modeled after her seemed odd

GAY SHEEP
but with him being dressed as maleficent, it could be fitting. she was a fae not a witch, but proved to be spiteful once crossed. angry enough to burn the house to keep herself warm because royals didn't observe proper conduct and invite her

GAY SHEEP
Jen being the queen was because she does beauty stuff and the queen did ask she could for appearances. I don't think it was meant any deeper

GAY SHEEP
I do want to go with Agatha being more Elphaba than just wicked witch of the west, because of the 3 of swords

GAY SHEEP
as the cards were both Lillia's path and the coven, I stand by Agatha having to be surrounded by tragedy, given grief and sorrow. I also think that if she even was on the road before, which I think she played along like the way she always takes credit for bad things, there's no memories of it
