Backtagging is basially tagging a thread after the events in the thread have passed. Like say you post something that happens on a certain day, but the thread takes longer than that to conclude. You'd be backtagging the thread.
Threadjacking is when you jump into a thread you weren't originally involved in, like if your character was passing by or something. It's generally a bad idea to do this without asking first, unless the original poster notes it's okay.

okay, so! games are places you need to apply to get into. they're the big ones with applications, since they usually have rules and the like. but most games have things called test drive memes where you can play in the setting and play there without actually being in the game.
funny fact about luka as well: went from friend to beta of my ficverse mostly because they were like 'hey i finished reading ur fic can u slip me new bits' and it just, evolved.
