blue beetle 2023 is cyberpunk

also aside from the one decision i already knew i wouldn't like going in, it's kinda great?

like the three pillars of jaime i was looking for were: the reyes family, the blue beetle legacy, and symbiosis between jaime and khaji da, and it hits all three pretty strong

like i was sure the third one would get deemphasized but like the whole third act pivoted on it

also a little shocked at how explicit some of its political stances were because of how milquetoast a lot of cape movies tend to be

i love nana reyes

oh one thing, at first i was a little "huh that's a design choice for omac i guess" until i looked up the blue beetle villain they rolled the concept in with, and damn that absolutely was an on point carapax design

Yeah it wasn't the focus but the cyber was there with the more over punk
