Alec Baldwin's involuntary manslaughter case dismiss...

dismissed with prejudice over misconduct by prosecutors and police withholding evidence from the defense

you'd think in a high profile case they'd go out of their way to not do any weird shit

Especially for someone who can afford a good defense team and wasn't going to take a plea deal. -_-

if it was some small unknown case it'd be ethically unacceptable obviously but i could at least understand the "bullshit your way through and hope for the best" thinking, but when everyone is looking very closely, why would you ever just be like "naw i'm gonna do thing i know i should not"

i guess it's nice that they exposed themselves as unethical in a case where the defendant wasn't totally helpless, but
