It finally happened. GayCinema closed shop. It was nice to have a neighborhood cinema. I appreciated its affordable prices and lax policies. I’ll miss being able to do groceries and walk straight into an empty screening of Dune Part Two. Of course its circumstances like that which led to its closing.

Minorly heartbreaking when i did my groceries yesterday, the kinds of people who appreciated it were suddenly more noticable. A group of young friends. An elderly couple. Maybe they didnt see their announcement on social. So seeing their dismay to see it closed was sad.
