the only context you need for this: in this most recent expac, we're traveling to the fantasy Americas, united under the rule of the wise and powerful Dawnservant

in the capital, as part of the first batch of sidequests that become available, is a quest started by a bipedal cob of corn

it is the size of a normal cob of corn, I need you to understand

It's surprised and overjoyed that the player character can see it, and explains that it is an ancient nature spirit, looking over the land since man first invented agriculture, and it needs our help because people are hungry and they must be fed but it can't help them if they can't see it!

this is... the wise and powerful Cornservant

you accompany it around town to hungry people and it gives you roasted corn to give to them, then it thanks you for your help and moves on in its journey

and then as you move through other new areas in the expac, you keep encountering the Cornservant, and it shows you to a new hungry person and summons forth custom corn-based dishes for you to give to them to eat

corn porridge for someone with a sensitive stomach, that kind of thing

i haven't been doing like 90% of sidequests so I've still only done the initial cornservant quest, but i fucking love the cornservant
