Saw a lost cat on my walk today. Took a picture before it ran off. I was able to find out what house they were from due to it being nearby and with a big cat tower in the window.

rang the doorbell and was like hey I saw your big cat tower, would you missing a big black cat?

the lady was SO perplexed, like... why is this person ringing my door, how do they know these things

but sure enough the cat was not in the house

it had run off into some tall grass/bushes/scrub so I could not catch it

but at least they know it ran off and the general vicinity it was in when I saw it

I was pretty concerned because I have seen coyotes in the area taking naps in broad daylight so they're getting pretty bold and would definitely eat a cat

Oh no. I hope her cat gets home safely.
