The general premise is; This game is throw back to Luceti, a_facility and other games of yesteryear. Characters will find themselves waking up in a small biege cell and trapped in a facility that is experimenting upon them. There will be a lot of focus on getting to know your possible roommate(s) and floormates to survive this harsh environment.
Your characters actions will have consequences on themselves and everyone else on their floor. Together your characters can enact change and escape, it just won't be easy to get there. There will also be a chance to join up with your captors to commit some truly awful deeds.
There will be experiments every month with a few options just incase something squicks or triggers you the player specifically. The secondary options could give players chances to explore outside of their room or the floor they're assigned to discover more about the world they are in. So choose wisely!
The game itself can be found Here! For anyone wanting to take a gander at it. The main navigation is pinned for easy access. Check out the FAQ as well!
We thankfully won't be running an experiment a week like it was done back in the ye olde a_fac days, so people have time to enjoy the event throughout the month!
The game is invitation only, people can DM the mod account to ask for an invitation. Currently, we are playing it by ear, since our game will be opening come October.
hope whoever rooms with iii enjoys living with a very frustrated vampire (who will at least be grateful he can once again eat normal food, despite the circumstances)
We want to achieve that same energy both games had of almost anything being possible, and people being able to indulge in torturing their characters. We haven't see many other games with the same vibe in... forever!
I'm mostly rolling around my thoughts to see if I've forgotten anything people would want to know about. I went into a lot more detail in the private announcement on my timeline, so I'm trying to keep things succinct here for everyone's sake.
Some Luceti oldbies will notice we have a few things in common if you peek at our hiatus page any. Thank you to Meowzy for bringing up that bit so we could incorporate it!
When it comes to CRAU, it's the player's choice whether the character keeps their altered form from a transformation game they were previously in. So if your character has had a drastic physical transformation as part of their CRAU,
you may choose to keep that form (with none of the associated powers) here in Lab of Nature, or limit the CRAU to just the memories and a return to their canon body.
ooh you know i'm making iii stay undead since that opens up a lot of potential opportunities/i'm hoping the npcs in charge will find a vampire interesting, even if he's depowered
I didn't see anything on the faq page, so apologies if I missed it, but will the tdm be open to those who may not have an invite but would be interested in one?
slithers in here. . . I was never in fac or luceti but my formative game was animus, another locked in a experimental facility torment nexus game over a decade back, and I yearn
