Last night tried to take photos of bugs swarming around a light. Got some very interesting squiggly lines. What's up with that?

long exposure is causing the solid lines but not sure about the jagged lines. Maybe wings alternating?

there is movement, subjects are moving -- i think that's why there are lines in the image captured. but i'm no photgraphy expert.
