Quick update

So in the race for getting all out paperwork in order for a civil wedding (context: we're trying to get this done before the govt institutes this mandatory class for all prospective newlyweds), we find out the class has already been in practice since April.

Aside from that, there's a bunch of drama coming from my lady's fam, which has since been sorted. The result? Some of her relatives are dead to us lol.

Which is an amusing contrast to my fam who has been nothing but glowing support, which really helped her get past the dramz.

So as I mentioned before, this whole process especially these recent updates has sucked the romance out of it all but I still planned to put a ring on it during our Japan trip.

The funny thing is the entire lead up to the trip and the first few days, she was kinda busting my balls about it. She'd find a toy ring and loudly say "hmmm maybe with this one...". Bitch, if you only knew.

Sent the above pics to my fam. They ignored the ring and the occasion and went straight to complimenting her nails. MIDDLE CHILD FOREVER I TELLS YA.
