silent hill 2 remake teaser was put out and I have opinions about the gameplay

I LOVE silent hill. I loved playing 2 and 3 and I have so much fun. I was excited for the SH2 remake to release, and it looks really good. but I do have some criticism. POSTING IN COMMENTS

firstly, the gameplay reminds me of a resident evil game. I LOVE resident evil, love it so much, but SH2 seems like a mix of RE Village and RE2 gameplay wise. I think its neat to do something different so that it adds more to the original game, but I really dislike that we no longer have the fixed camera positions

in Silent Hill, part of the horror is having the fixed camera! you have blind spots and cannot see exactly where you are walking and you never know when a monster is gonna come out. ofc not every spot had the fixed camera, but it was super important and contributed to the absolute fear you feel playing through those spots

also, I feel like the atmosphere isnt like... the same. which obviously it wont be exactly the same. maybe I just need to wait till I play it but the town doesnt look as scary as it needs to be. I see too much. in the og game you could barely see, and I can see almost everything in the remake with very little fog
