saw Dune pt 2. Liked it, thought the acting was decent tho I think there wasn't that much in the way of good dialogue for them to with with, special and practical effects done in a way that I think will hold up long term

it felt... tone deaf considering the state of the world tho

like we're supposed to be on the side of the Arab allegory when the US government/major Western powers are actively funding genocide

of a primarily Arab desert people population

and pushing this narrative of a secret army of fanatics especially when that's literally the justification being used for killing innocent people

and it's not a critique of that
