and it starts with wilkommen which is basically just trying to establish the "tone" (you'll understand why i airquote this later) of the show, it's just emcee, the main singer guy welcoming the audience to the club and introducing the showgirls and showboys

ok SO. cabaret has like 2-3 different stories within it but it all kinda ties together into 1its set in 1930s france as the nazis rise to power, and for the most of the show it's set in this german nightclub (called the Kit Kat Klub) that's all about sex and shit, like 1930s strippers basically but with more theatre and singing
