Having returned from a country with a functional public transportation system, I am once again infuriated by the United States of America.

The busses in Oxford were reduced the first few days I was there because of the holidays. So that was annoying.

But. At least there were still busses.

And once the full schedule was back up, I was able to take busses at basically all hours of the day.

I had to pay $135 to park my car at the airport for my travel.

Meanwhile in England I was able to take a bus that took me from the airport to Oxford for about $35 round trip.

My week-long bus pass that let me ride as many busses as I wanted to in Oxford or the Oxford suburbs cost me about $22.

So my car sitting useless in a parking spot cost me more than twice as much as an entire week of bus trips.
