A new series I wanna poke at is Heterogenia Linguistico. It's about a guy heading into monster infested lands to decipher/learn their languages. Don't know much else about it.

It's an interesting idea

YEAH IT'S SO FUCKING GOOD

like admittedly a good chunk of it is straight up hard linguistic nerdery but that's basically a vehicle for "let's look at the psychological differences and different priorities of the assorted races and the way they interact"

that said beyond that it is very slice of life so if you're looking for big conflicts you're not going to find it, there is an overarching plot but it is VERY subtle

Thanks for the info. I'm fine with slice of life, I just need something to get invested in. Character, plot, etc.
