there is absolutely no reason I should've been able to take care of the grym in my very first try with 3/4ths of my team in the red with health and me dicking around with new spells bc 'I won't be keeping this run since I'm gonna beef it anyway, let's see what happens'

I only lost gale and given I've loaded my ass up with revivify scrolls, no one ever stays dead, and it was at the very end. like. literally the very last thing that happened was gale was dead, shadowheart and astarion were downed, and I wasn't doing so hot, but I managed to shoot the lever to kill that thing dead from a distance

did I waste all my ice arrows? sure, and that's a shame, but I'll just buy more along the way. I've only long rested once so I'll do it again before I finally go do the nere stuff (which, initially, the nere stuff was the first thing that I did more or less and that was a Bad Idea)

I was told three long rests and shit goes sideways but I should be good with two

also the fact that astarion approved when I said gale's more handsome but he's not bad while he was pretending to preen in the mirror is very funny to me. I am technically still neutral with him but he's on the low fucking end

but yeah if I ever decide to reload for that boss fight, I might go grab a bajillion scrolls and do some resting and see if I can't actually brute force that fight, bc frankly I feel like I could

I was trying to brute force at first but it didn't take me long to figure out the thing with that battle

I also got an amulet with a laughing monk in it. I also went the shorter way around (feather fall) and I did not fight the lava elemental and it has been suggested I should not go try and fight that thing bc that fight is a bitcharoni and a half

gale is v v thirsty for me after fighting shadow creatures and I'm like DUDE. he realizes it's not the time or place and I'm like BUT YOU STILL BROUGHT IT UP. WITH EVERYONE HERE.
