honestly arthur has nothing personal against hilbert, like sure he's russian but he actually doesn't give much of a shit about that. he's way more worried that the only person nathaniel actively finds respectable and enjoys the company of on this stupid ship will make him regress in some way
i also think that lovelace is an inch or two taller than hilbert just because she would absolutely harass him with that before everything went to shit on their first mission
hakkai is generally better about being aware of his emotions these days but if it comes to a choice between being fully present in his own feelings about this and being there for jedao who's wrecked really bad, it's bottle time
also i think there's something hilarious that like, the first person outside of norton/una/john/jedao to know sheehan and arthur are dating is fuckin Nathaniel
i don't think it would actually work to do more than jumpscare anyone given the general scale of threats the ship faces on the regular, but it would be a fun surprise threat
