There is a persistent bug where the mouse cursor will FUCKING DISAPPEAR behind ANY APP WINDOW EXCEPT CHROME, making it impossible to use or interact with them
Oh christ.................... yeah the chrome books have really gone down hill, the only reason I had one was to remote connect into my computer at home.
Right before my wedding, I had no goddamn money to get a real laptop, so I thought to myself "Windows 10 is so awful, surely a chromebook HAS to be better, right?"
I wanted to have a new proper laptop by now, probably something with a WIndows pro edition because Pro edition is infinitely better than the home editions (which just proves the home editions suck on purpose)
Yeah it's not an ideal browser, it's really good I still run it, but the ctrl+tab can be weird lol. It does have a ram limiter I think and I ran discord on the browser.
chromebooks are kind of hot garbage these days, I'm sorry. we have two (one is the kid's and one is the husband's work laptop) and honestly the best thing I can say about them is they're small and easy to replace when they inevitably shit the bed
it just seems like laptops in general are not particularly well made these days (especially considering the nature of don't get me started on how things are being intentionally built to fail and taking away things they shouldn't be taking away for processing) and i hate when they advertise ones that do not even have enough space to run the os built on it
