We Are Finally Animating Cradle!

"Hey Eric what's this about?"

- Cradle is a fantasy series about the most polite boy who looks like he wants to rob you and his ascension from Scrublord Supreme to Godlike Superbadass set in a world of super powered martial arts loosely inspired by Chinese Mythology (VERY loosely)

It's a super fun series and I'd recommend it on it's own merits

- The author is launching a kickstarter to make SOME kind of animation based on it. The scope of the animation will depend on how much they raise, but it could be anything from "A few animated shorts" to "full length series"

- They got Jay Oliva to direct it, but Will Wight himself (the author) is gonna be writing it

- The Kickstarter will go live on January 15 2024

- I am not going to shut up about this

I have to admit I'm a bit skeptical since "we have no idea how much we're going to animate" doesn't inspire confidence but like

what am I gonna do

it feels too soon to announce this, if they don't even have like

one storyboard to show off

Honestly, I kind of appreciate that they're not going "so we're definitely gonna animate the WHOLE THING" before the kickstarter even launches, going with "we are committed to animating as much as we can, how much that is depends on how much we can raise" seems a lot saner.
