[xmas specials] i wanna talk about some of my favourite specials growing up, and the first on my list is my top fav and that is the stingiest man in town, and this song right here is so iconic

walter matthau is easily my favourite scrooge of all time, he's just so good. bill murray gets an honourable mention for being a great modern scrooge. but generally the stingiest man in town has so many good bops, like it lives rent free in my head for all time

santa bear is another special i really loved watching, although i have to say that john malkovich is easily the creepiest santa i've seen outside of horror movies

ziggy's gift is also a great one, i can't tell you why i really loved ziggy comics when i was little but i really did. maybe it was the simplicity of the comics that were easy to understand with few words involved

sorry for leaving out all of the big notable specials, i feel like those go without saying and wanted to focus on other specials that aren't in the spotlight quite as frequently. i feel like i really do love every rankin/bass, chuck jones, garfield, peanuts, muppets and family circus specials.
