he was always one of Us, and We were the Good Guys. but now he's one of Them and everything bad about him is his Them nature coming out

like it's how he thinks Asgard views the world and especially him. he thought wiping out the Frost Giants was a good idea because he's a Monster, and not because Asgardian society told him they were all monsters who should be killed as soon as they did anything threatening

the whole thing has forced him to really reflect on Us vs. Them and a lot of the baggage with it, like who matters
