Hello, plurk, I bought a pack of these like, miniature gingerbread man cookies from Market Basket yesterday and I literally cannot tell you how good they are.

I WAS A BIT WARY SINCE THE FIRST ONE I MUNCHED THE LIMBS OFF OF WAS A LITTLE HARD (I like my cookies soft) but I think that's just how they are re: the arms/legs cooking/crisping up faster because the middle was so soft and chewy and delicious

and they have suuuuch a good flavor - lots of spice, and the ginger comes through so nicely.

Yeah, that's pretty common with baking. The smaller the area, the more likely it is to crisp faster

had two with some eggnog and it was heavenly.

but crisis averted, they are delicious.

man, ngl, i just looked up how to make a gingerbread loaf and like...I COULD but where the fuck does one buy molasses? do they sell that in actual groceries??

i think I hear molasses are sold in USA stores all the time

Molasses are in grocery stores in the baking section

They might look odd when you find them, some are packaged in cartons

And I know this because I make gingerbread cookies myself, they're delicious

you can also sub maple syrup for molasses!! I like it better tbh

Also, you can check a kitchen supply store, Roxy. They sell the good stuff for a lot of cooking, but you can pick it up in grocery stores as well. Source: got a bottle from a local grocery chain and my friend, a professional baker, got me a bottle from her kitchen supply store she goes to
