I've been quiet a lot lately due to working a lot at the day job (December, natch) and ...trying to finish this sci-fi story I decided to finish and send off to an editor-friend of mine.

I'm in the homestretch, at least in terms of drafting stuff. Now it's a matter of typing it up and polishing it and finding the holes that require patching (this could get weird).

Crunch time on this story and I'm sick of looking at it and working on it, but it's nowhere near finished /grumbles/

Hokay, in the wee hours of the morning, but I may have scribbled out enough new material to patch all the holes. I'll start typing it up tomorrow night,

Hopefully I can polish it over the weekend after work, et al.

Finished the bulk of the story, now to get down to the dry business of revisions and editing.

Ho boy, this is a mess. And I have to have this done by the end of the day on Monday.

And the thing decided to be 11K words. o.o

A lot of cutting a handful of words to tighten something up and adding more words to expand on something.
