DryadGurrl
welp, I've rediscovered the joy of bobbin-winding my embroidery floss
DryadGurrl
the problem is the box I have only has room for like... a dozen more bobbins and I've got two gallon ziplock bags full of skeins (well one that I know where it is, a second one is... probably in one of the boxes labeled 'crafts')
DryadGurrl
Does this mean I'll actually be picking up cross stitch again?

okay I read too fast and missed a word, and was like "winding floss? a little weird but okay" and proceeded to get super confused until the mention of cross stitch made me look back up and reread

I so need to put my ass to bed lol
DryadGurrl
LOL, I mean, sleep is good for you
GARBAGE DAY
i'm just about to start cross-stitch/embroidery so we can enjoy the journey together!
DryadGurrl
I love doing it, but I have some kind of arthritis/possible nerve problems in my hands so I can't do it for very long at a stretch like I used to
DryadGurrl
(and by 'possible nerve problems' I mean I have to hold the needle so tightly just to register that I'm holding it that my thumb and forefinger start to tingle)
DryadGurrl
happens with knitting and latch-hook too and those are bigger needles (and hooks)
GARBAGE DAY
yeah i could see that being a problem. i'm probably getting similar issues but i haven't knitted in a while
DryadGurrl
but yeah having the thread on bobbins vs. in skeins is soooo much easier for me, and I have a bobbin-winder and everything, and it's a nice mindless task to do while watching TV or listening to podcast or w/e
DryadGurrl
and with the number right there on the bobbin they're all in numerical order in the box so it's easy to find the colors I need
