the codes will include journal layouts, plurk layouts, going to try to produce at least one dreamwidth site skin, and a mix of various other things like visuals and biosheets and the like
It's starting on December 13th officially and all of the codes will stay up until around January 15th. After that, they'll be locked behind tiers that they would usually be behind, so not actually gone forever.
If you want to take part, wait until at least December 1st (this Friday) to sign up, otherwise Patreon will charge you for November and December. I know I could have waited a bit to announce this, but I've been meaning to for about a week already.
so tldr, $5+ patrons are getting 12 codes that'll include several layouts. They'll start releasing on the 13th and will come out once a day until the 24th (except we ended on the 23rd last year so maybe I just can't math right). The codes will stay up until mid-January.
I think that's everything! Please let me know if you've got any questions. Since I'm posting this late in my timezone, I'll give this plurk a little bump tomorrow.
question! because I haven't used patreon in a hot minute. if I sign up for the 5 USD tier, but then want to go for a higher tier later anyway, will I have to pay that in addition, or does patreon upgrade you by charging the difference?
that question makes sense. I haven't used patreon in a hot minute either, but I'm pretty sure it's the difference. Basically if you upgrade from a $5 tier to a $10 tier, it charges you $5 more.
oh damn! nice. I'll definitely get the 5 buck tier, and if Nisha's health holds up I might see about upgrading to grab some more stuff and support you a bit more too :3
still iffy about the journal layout but I'm working on it. also might make a second site skin. I'm partial to the darker ones, so maybe I'll put together two versions for this year's advent.
i do make all of my skins to be super easy to customize, especially for colors. everything that can be changed is at the top and only needs replacing once to change it for the whole skin. that being said, i never thought of green before so i might try that out. thanks for the idea!
