[precure] you know, the colour debate is weird enough with how some characters seem to be made to bait multiple sides (like Cure Cosmo being called Blue Cat and from the Rainbow Planet and having a blue-and-rainbow dress), but what's worse is when characters get officially recategorized.

Sunshine and Moonlight were gold and silver on debut. They were re-sorted into yellow and purple within the year, even though Moonlight's outfit is still clearly grey and sparkly.

Rhythm was initially touted as pink, recategorized as yellow after a few months when DX3 hit, and when Cure Muse formally joined the team as a yellow Cure, Cure Rhythm then got reshelved with white.

We all know how Cure Milky, who is teal, was originally the blue Cure and then became green.

And Cure Black was pink for a while despite her team also having Shiny Luminous, who then got shoved into yellow until Black was allowed to be black again.

Did Cure Finale get shuffled in the new book, does anyone know? I know she was supposed to be gold, but she's got very little gold in her design and her team also has a yellow, so I'm just waiting for her to get recategorized as white or purple.

Summer's been rainbow for a while, though that one book this year that had bars of everyone's colour had her as white, so I guess she's a back-and-forth like Rhythm.

Or it was just easier to print white than rainbow to represent one character.

I love how this means that it's ambiguous as to whether Sunshine is still yellow or back to gold, but we know Moonlight's purple and not back to silver.
