Master Chieve
Ruka’s plurk reminded me of a setting I pitched a while back, originally as an RP setting
Master Chieve
The setting was that Ragnarok happened and all the gods fought each other and died and destroyed the world
Master Chieve
Or at least the wiped out civilization
Master Chieve
The actual planet is still there, albeit as a barren wasteland
Master Chieve
But there’s ONE SPOT that still has a flicker of life left
Master Chieve
A pair of fertility/life/nature gods strangled each other and their bodies formed like a sheltered valley where the residual divine juice still makes life possible
Master Chieve
Someone set up a beacon there calling any mortal survivors and refugees across the world
Master Chieve
Who are starting to gather there and figure out what to do now as the world slowly finishes decaying without any gods to keep things working
Master Chieve
That’s the premise
Master Chieve
The pitch is that with the gods all dead, their divine power is still in existence but it’s just kind of sloshing around the cosmos, unclaimed
Master Chieve
Because you can’t permanently destroy divine power
Master Chieve
And it starts to crystallize around the survivors, who all start turning into new gods
Master Chieve
The world is dead but there is now a chance to build a new one
Master Chieve
The actual plot revolves around the idea that Ragnarok was engineered by these nearly powerless spirits that had been hanging around since the creation of the universe
Master Chieve
They had missed their chance at getting any god juice themselves and had been stewing in jealousy for 13 billion years
Master Chieve
It worked and they’re getting some juice. But now a bunch of rando mortals are ALSO getting some of it and after an eternity of getting nothing these things are NOT in the mood to share
Master Chieve
Leading to a war over the creation of the new universe
Master Chieve
Between some mortals gaining divine power and some ancient spirits who can’t STAND that
ArtIsArt
This is dope af.
