[Charities][CSA ments] I am wondering what charity to try and fundraise for this upcoming year.

Normally I do Love146, but I don't want to say I am feeling burnt out, but more like I feel like the problem is just getting worse?

(Love146 is a charity that works on preventing child exploitation and trafficking)

And even though I have a history of CSA, I also feel like I am being using the charity thing as a way to pat myself on the back? Like I know the story of the rabbi and man wanting to build the orphanage

But right now, I guess...I just want to see some results somewhere even though I know things like love146 have to be quiet in their activities.

Like I also used to do Trick-or-Treat for Unicef too.

My parents do a lot for Toys for Tots and the animal shelters out here, so they get to see their results like instant? If that makes sense?

And I know its bad I want to see something when I know my money and the money I raise helps?

as a csa survivor as well i have the EXACT same problem

the worst part about charities and runs that want to help children who might be suffering what we did, is that (lighthouses specially) have to do everything on the downlow, to the point where it's impossible to tell if anything is being done

Like my Dad tried to get a BACA opened here in NM for a little while, then he had a brain bleed so he had to drop that ball. And again, its like...seeing actual results?

I am looking at the My Stuff Bag foundation which provides stuff for kids coming out of DV situations/ Homelessness/abandonment

Bikers Against Child Abuse. They are a group of bikers who will go with the children to court hearings/be confidants/ect the entire idea is These Big Scary People are on my side against the person who abused me

Like they will give the kid a 'Road Name' and their info, so like if the kiddo is scared their abuser will come to their house or whatever for example, they will get on their bikes and camp out in the front yard kinda deal too

I will admit I know of santaslittlehelpers but I am overly paranoid someone will go in and fib to get stuff. Like I know that is usually not the case, but I am paranoid. Also I tend to look at charities as like a year long investment v a few weeks of the year

Because I do admit a petpeeve of mine is all of a sudden everyone is throwing money and stuff at charities at Christmas time instead of making a part of their lives

Again I know its good they are getting the money and people are donating and stuff!

AND PLUS I KNOW THIS SOUNDS REALLY PETTY BUT I FEEL LIKE THINGS LIKE SANTASLITLEHELPERS AND STUFF LIKE..UNKNOWING EXCLUDE NON-CHRISTIAN (actual or cultrually) CHILDREN

Oh SLH is like Assistance, their veto is extremely harsh, Assistance couldn't help me for the longest time because their rules and moderation are so serious
