valo is maybe the least misogynist game community with a lot of women playing it, but most still find it hard to use voice comms because there are still lotsa assholes who'll make a big fuss about having a girl teammate

my spouse is a gamer. I used to beta test for MMORPGs in the Philippines. Honestly, it depends on the person what their priorities are -- their games or their relationships. That said it definitely helps if you share the same interests, like videogames, or outdoorsy activities, or whatnot.

I still see them as people so there may be some things I disagree with em if they, like, consider themselves influencers and I'm not impressed the way they influence people on something I'm against or not into.
