anyway coming back hilariously they are technically not landing in the fuckin ocean despite ace's worry but. ace's execution site was so destroyed it's not funny. marineford is not an inhabited island anymore. this is a good thing because IT WAS THE MARINE HEADQUARTERS ACE WAS REAL CAVALIER ABOUT THAT
ace was like. theres a few things i need to do before visiting other people and so now i have to think about how things pan out. he'd let nimona and saya leave whenever they wanted but i assume they would definitely be like. clinging a little until they are sure he won't go ahead and die again so these things have to be done first
anyway so ace's goal is to find luffy which will be impossible because luffy goes into hiding to train for two years and also is currently recuperating from life saving surgery. it takes two weeks!! it's going to be really funny they will totally miss each other until luffy is in the news for going back to marineford to send his crew a message
i think ace would try to lay low until he finds the people he's looking for so its truly going to be oh luffy is in the news and hes ok! and then they probably dont fucking see each other for those two years because LUFFY GOES INTO HIDING
so anyway the whitebeard pirates after the war kind of immediately get into more fights because with their captain dead the territories are up for grabs and also they are all very mad at blackbeard, who. uh. somehow ate whitebeard's fruit and has two fruits. even though usually if you eat two devil fruits you die hes special
so im like well goodbye one piece antagonist nimona and/or saya can just. eat you. nothing can stop them from eating you. and also ace knows all his tricks and is not fighting one on one now so. big advantage??
so i think ace rejoins what remains of his crew (tm) mid battle and theyre like oh my god ace came back from the dead with demon teen girls. im so happy

i decided to break canon and go with there are now TWO flame fruits in existence because i think sabo deserves to be a fire user as a treat (i almost wrote threat which yes. that also.) but sabo is one where im like
either ace and him see each other at ace's very real grave (oops) and spiderman point or they see each other when sabo visits luffy finally so he can grab ace's fruit and they both spiderman point, either way its funny
i think hed let people visit but hes going to be trying to be kind of dealing with pirate politics for a bit because hed be very stubborn about trying to hold onto territories. also the first mate of the crew (marco) goes to whitebeard's home island to help it because its very poor and cant afford government protection?
actually ace would find out about luffy from jimbei because hes going to claim fishman island again so ace gets to know where luffy is but knows he cant visit and just goes nyeh??????? a lot about it until he realizes nimona and saya are girls and anyway imagine that first meeting
nimona and saya just show up on girl only island to give a message to luffy that his brother isnt dead. its going to be such a fight of a first meeting while luffy is like GESTURES IN THE CORPSE HE SAW and theyre like no same but
anyway hilarious canon things aside hed let people visit but make sure theyre around like, islands he knows are interesting but safe and/or just visiting while theyre not in big danger just because
but yeah the plot of one piece is just completely off the rails nimona and saya would be OUTRAGED when ace's murderer is put as fleet admiral of the marines and ace just spends hours like look i dont have time to destroy the government
hed use his infinite money to be a sap but otherwise infinite money in one piece cant really be used to buy the world the people in charge arent in charge just because they are rich, unfortunately, that is not dystopian enough
i think hed be nice and outside of the party atmosphere/introducing them hed let visitors only interact with a handful of people so they dont get overwhelmed. saya and nimona have to learn to deal with people ace has never had a small crew in his life but its fine
the political aspect is the government trying to balance powers in the world but for pirates its like this weird balance of claiming territories and fighting each other
i think the funniest thing i could do is have tama not be affected by alcohol because of her everything, have her drink a bunch of pirates under a table and then run off with ace’s demon girls because she’s missed them and he’s been hogging them (understandable, but also gib her the girls)
also Tama would drink a bunch of pirates under the table while they trip over themselves over how hot she is and ace is like you guys are so pathetic wow drinks
