but because everyone was in repair mode for 12+ years, no one noticed hostile forces building up in the background.

The Space Revolutionary Army, claiming to be a home of Newtypes and the new inheritors of Zeon Zum Deikun's ideology, start working alongside the Zanscare Empire to try and conquer the Earth

In reality, they are both unwitting pawns of the Jupiter Empire, the colonists from Jupiter who are lead by the genocidal Crux Dogatie, seeking to tie up the Federation army until it's too late to stop their own schemes

beyond our Solar System, the Vega Empire prepares to invade the Earth for our resources due to them stripping their own planet to the bone.

The Freeden crew and the Vultures join hands with the League Militaire to fight the Zanscare/SRA, Grendizer and the Crossbone Vanguard hold the line against Vega and the Jupiter Empire, and it takes the new iteration of GGG to get all five to Join hands and save the Earth.

Once victory is seemingly secured, GGG asks for Berah Rona to help transport all of them to Jupiter, to try to rescue the heroes of the old GGG once more.

the approach to Jupiter goes fine enough barring the one instance of Algernon Syndrome, but things go pearshaped once they reach Io, and space goes wonky for a good ten minutes

Now, let's go a bit further into the future, once the Zentradi have fully acclimated to us, and Andromeda Country comes a-knocking at our door.
