Some drivers ago they had added a feature that switched from VRAM to regular RAM when the VRAM usage was really high... which then causes a REALLY slow SD rendering.

So if your jobs BARELY fit into VRAM, they suddenly were moved and ran really slow. You can switch that off in the settings now.
