Other than one being folded and the other rolled, is there any real difference between stromboli and calzones?

Look the folding vs being a giant hot pocket is absolutely a different textural experience

Like you usually don't put cold cuts on a pizza and a calzone should be like a gooey inside out pizza.

Strombolis are more like rolled sandwich melts.

So it's kind of like whether you're getting a gooey pizza experience or a more sandwich-ey experience

If you did some kinda sandwich roll and melted the cheese a little you wouldn't think it was the same as a full tilt hot pocket

I'd accept stromboli as being more different if they were like pizza swiss rolls

what I know is I want to make stromboli now
