It should be pointed out that at this point in the Claire POV spinoff novels, she is already going through a bit of a crisis about her sexuality and starting to see Rae differently. The anime really captures that well here, I love the blushing.
The bond between Rae & Claire has been getting strong every episode. I adore Misha this episode as she tackles the topics of gay love and LGBTQ+ bullying. Misha’s advice literally changed Claire ever since.
The scene was also perfectly done in the anime. The whole conversation is important and also a bit bittersweet. I just have to say it again, how well written the characters are. Especially if you know the LN ♥️
The "As long as I don't say anything" bit hit so close to home. The amount of times I've pushed feelings down in order to keep a friendship because I'm scared of how people will react is just... it starts to weigh on you.
