[family death mention; no details] this is the same exact information as i'm making available on my RP plurk but i've been away for a little while for a reason and just didn't have a chacnce to mention why yet so here's an update real quick

if you're reading from my rp timeline i'm literally just copy pasting some of this information

S... sunday? time isn't real. My nesting partner, Gem/vapeslug's mom passed away very suddenly and very tragically. I am not comfortable sharing more details as they are not really mine to share, if you are friends with Gem then you will have seen them talk aobut it on their timeline.

gem had to be a part of things in a way that requires a lot of care and so now more than ever i am having to be available to them and so of course I'm sure you all understand why rp and even commissions have come much second to that

for the next week me and gem will be really busy with coordinating our side of the debacle, which is arranging for us and jeanne's younger friends to be present at the funeral, and we will be staying in AL for a while to sort future things out with gem's grandmother

there is a chance that this may affect where we live in the future, and a lot of other plans are up in the air right now, and so "a reliable amount of time for anything" is not something that we have

I will say that both Gem and I are the type to deal with mourning by engaging more in distractions and so if you are reading and wondering how you can personally help: just... engage with us when we come back, especially Gem, play helps. distraction helps. engaging with other people and knowing we are a part of reality helps

i personally may need to ask for some help with things i was struggling with before this even happened, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there

anwyay that is why i am not around and/or not really talking about the event until next week after the funeral (we both really do want to participate but it simply Cannot be right now) and also why my commissions are slightly delayed but not entirely

if you're waiting on a commisison that is due by Halloween you will still receive it by halloween

the other things may just be a little slower than expected
so the only other thing i can ask for on both mine and gem's behalf is in fact patience

gem also had commissions from a few of you and still plans to get to them, ang again has his updates on his art plurk handmadecrab

I personally am not that good with condolences so i'm sorry if i seem kind of unappreciative but both of us really do appreciate the condolences yall have given so far i just am not good at expressions of this kind
