anyway, unrelated, I REALLY thought I could take a black unicorn at level 7

so I'm 2 for 2 on stupid deaths in Sokoban over the past two days

last night's was honestly even stupider because I'd been having a REALLY good run due to playing much more cautiously and being less conservative with my big guns

and then I got really distracted by trying to make sure I ate an invisible stalker in the treasure zoo while invisible myself to get the intrinsics, and a barrow wight just walked right up on me with a lightning wand

like I cannot emphasize enough how many ways I could have avoided that wight. I had so many wands and useful scrolls and also I could have just closed the Fucking Door

and it is not like I didn't see the wight coming

I just. did not know it had a wand of lightning.

and was busy trying to eat a stalker. with a towel around my head.

like that was a way more complicated kind of stupid than this.

one thing I need to really internalize: don't eat poisonous corpses without poison resistance

no, not even to get poison resistance

I've been taking huge strength penalties for basically no reason at all

I dunno if I've ever seen nethack with graphics before

i imagine it makes it a lot more playable

Like at least you know what's coming to kill you and not just hm what is that letter
