Lynx and Paint
Man I had a heck of a Time with my computer yesterday...I really hope that it's (mostly) fixed now
Lynx and Paint
I've been dealing with fairly frequent BSODs and was finally like "you know I should ask about these"
Lynx and Paint
so I messaged the guy who built my computer, said "okay yeah let's take steps to fix that for sure" and the first suggestion was to try reseating the RAM sticks
Lynx and Paint
which turned out to be really intimidating and freaky for me and I like...messed it up twice 8(
Lynx and Paint
the first time I didn't press them in hard enough so the computer didn't register them or come on, and the second time I put them in the wrong slots so the computer booted in safe mode and complained about that
Lynx and Paint
and in the middle of that my tablet wouldn't come on, so I had to update the driver
Lynx and Paint
and I think I finally got everything working?? Hopefully?? (I also cleaned out the inside of my computer because good grief it was horribly dusty and yucky)
Lynx and Paint
although now when I use Photoshop, sometimes this weird thing happens where like...I'm unable to use actual drawing tools suddenly??
Lynx and Paint
like it registers me moving my pen across the screen and clicking things, but I can't actually use any PS tools
Lynx and Paint
closing the file and then opening it again will immediately solve the problem. It's baffling.
Lynx and Paint
but yeah uh! Computers stressful!!!
Lynx and Paint
now I guess I also need to see if it BSOD's again...
xaris
oh windows corrupted an update for me yesterday so i had to use the command prompt to order a full disc scan/repair to fix it
xaris
yeah!! windows yeah!!
xaris
that isn't even including last week where the whole OS corrupted and i had to back up everything and reinstall it from top to bottom, that was neato
Lynx and Paint
aaaHHHHHH terror!!!!! Horrors!!!!
xaris
i think it might be time to start replacing parts in this ol pc but this seems like consistent windows being stupidshit
Lynx and Paint
I guess depending on how long you've had it, it would be time, but that's still a huge pain
xaris
7 years, goin on 8 so it's getting up there!
Lynx and Paint
oooh yeah
