yeah, and the licensing issue that caused the first alan wake to get delisted from digital marketplaces has been a major reason for people being upset that it's a digital-only release but i'm just so moved at how important the relationship between music and video games as an art is to sam lake that they did all this work to make it original AND relevant

because the chapter songs at the end in the first game were just ugh so good as a cherry on top of the whole experience, wrapping up each one

it truly felt like a cinematic experience when i played for the first time
