it's not even that people don't describe things, because he does get those occasionally! but it's how often they don't think to, because there's this implicit belief that he had John with him all the time maybe?
yeah, like they are still their own people and space is good!! but they are also still Two Halves Of A Whole Asshole and neither of them have full capacity apart
he's extremely cagey with information that's not necessarily his to tell according to deeply arcane shuos secrecy conventions, which frustrated arthur during the poisoning situation, but 'you need regular, precise, germane intel on the current situation' is not the kind of detail jedao forgets in day to day situations
Arthur is blind, down one hand, he can't feel part of his foot and that's what caused him to slip in the laundry right beforehand, and he has a recent history rife with monster attacks so if he does get struck he will immediately go into survival mode and fight
I wonder... is Arthur's lack of vision tied right the way down into his brain? Because SW can canonically share his vision (which he uses to share his weirdass alien vision of how the world's energy looks with ZYL, but I feel like he should be able to share normal, toned down human vision too)
so... if they ever get meaningful CR and SW gets his powers back, taking him on a tour of the barge while looking at it through his eyes is a thing he could do if Arthur would not find it even more horrible to go back to blindness after
YEAH unfortunately John is attached to, like, The Concept of Arthur's Sight in like, every possible dimension, and is also possessing his eyes/hand/foot on a similar plane
his ability to recognise objects by shape/touch/description is fully intact, and he clearly remembers images from before john, but i don't know how much he's able to visualise anything new
everyone apparently: "Oh he knows what he's doing, we're good"
Arthur, still blind: ???
even if John wishes Arthur would protect himself too
