i don't like that when i say i like horror movies people think i mean slasher movies. because honestly that's the cheapest and most boring kind of horror imo. there's no plot to follow or figure out, no wits, no originality. most slasher movies follow an exact set of rules, rarely divert from them and always end the same. why would i like watching the same

: i guess that works best, yeah. it's just sad because that disqualifies a few rare horror movies that aren't slasher or psychological and still good 😭 it's just so hard to find horror that isn't just straight up gore and violence and has an actual plot
It's close enough. "Allen likes psychological horror movies, but doesn't like cheap jumpscare movies" is pretty accurate and also doesn't disqualify you from liking other things that don't fit either description!
to be fair i do also watch and play other things on repeat but it just doesn't work for horror. it's not the violence that i like about the genre
