[work] cries in page footer

spooky queer : I was just in an hour and a half meeting doing final edits on a 30 page long application for one of my nurses to go from staff nurse i to staff nurse ii. You need a load of stuff including letters of recommendation

One of the nurses didn’t scan their letter of rec in right. They cut off part of the letterhead

So I had to grab the letter. And a fresh template. Layer them in a different program and flatten the image but still keep the original non blurry png (GIVE ME PDFS PLEEEEASE). And paste it back into word

And my boss is going “it isn’t the original size” “yes you have a footer that says which page you’re on. So it would cut into the original image” “why can’t we have both.”

Oh I’m sorry let me just drag this image so it obscures the page footer and then magically make word obey me when I want to layer text on top of image my mistake

We got it done. We got everything done. Including something that took me WAY TOO LONG to figure out. I had done edits for this nurse before and I had given her two columns so she could add the date for her volunteer work separately and she somehow added both a continuous page break that wouldn’t go away and a new page break

AND. A section break that fucked up the page numbers

i feel your pain

this is why i never want to be in doc control again 😂
