I love that Mal was like "fuck destiny, I'm gonna be a pirate." I mean obviously (gestures at Geralt and Yennefer) I'm here for the "are we in love only because of magic?" trope and trying to navigate all that. tbh I thought Mal was rly boring s1 but he's grown on me a lot

IDK if I should read the books I know they're super different. I wanna know what happens but I really like the way the show has everyone together, and my understanding is they're not really together in the books 😔

Yeah the books are definitely very different. The way they pulled everyone from each series into one story for the show has been ssooo good though.

yeah idk if i'd enjoy the books at this point, i need everyone to be together haha

how about the crows? i was watching season two mainly for the crows

The biggest change is obviously the Crows aren't in S&B and they never met anyone in it. The trilogy isn't that great, but Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom are SO GOOD and the Nikolai books are also great.

I always encourage people to read the books if they have the inspiration but YEAH S2 was really strong

I enjoyed season 1 just fine but I didn't expect s2 to come at me this fucking hard

so i will say about the books - there’s a lot more of some interactions and a lot less of others! you get more content for some stuff and not others and it also suffers from. the mid 2000s YA faults

but they are very fun to read

I think I will wait until after s3 or if I have no other choice... I just like everything about the show so much
